I give a lesson on how to fill the dishwasher at least once a week. I have 2 teenage sons. Probably all most people need to know.
They are very smart boys, do well in school, both drive. Somehow wrapping their hands around the dishwasher handle and pulling has them miffed. They have no problems wrapping their big hands around the refrigerator handle and leave giant mitt prints all over the stainless but opening the dishwasher eludes them.
I thought after 1 or 2 lessons they would get it. Like when I taught them to ride a bike, do up their shoe laces and pour their own glass of milk. OK maybe I am overstating their skills it did take a few more than 2 lessons to teach those skills. But, I did believe that they would be able to manage the dishwasher door after a few messy finger, dirty dish tries.
Oh well, I guess I will just give another lesson and hope for successful door opening.
Next up teaching them to add dish washer detergent and turning the dishwasher on. I dream big!
